Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Growing up in the Bay Area exposed me to a diverse and creative environment that shaped the way I see design, culture, and innovation. Being surrounded by people pursuing different ideas and creative paths taught me to stay curious, open-minded, and adaptable — qualities that continue to influence both my personal life and career today.
Coming from a traditional Chinese family, pursuing a career in art and design was never really considered a practical path. My family expected me to pursue a more traditional profession. After high school, I spent two years studying marketing in college, but quickly realized it was not where my passion truly was. Choosing to pursue design was a difficult but defining decision for me, and one that ultimately taught me the importance of trusting my instincts and carving out my own path.
Outside of work, I’m deeply passionate about animals and creativity in all forms. I’m a proud mom to three cats, two dogs, and a parrot — they’re a huge part of my life and bring me endless joy. I also love collecting toys, exploring art, and tattoos, all of which continue to inspire my appreciation for individuality, storytelling, and self-expression.
